White House: Israeli army begins withdrawal from some areas in central Lebanon.
Reuters news agency quoted the White House as saying: “We are pleased that the Israeli army has begun withdrawing from some areas in central Lebanon.”
According to a Reuters report, the White House said: “A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is essential.”
The White House said: “We will continue to work closely with our regional partners to extend the ceasefire in Lebanon.”
The US government agency added: “There is an urgent need to extend the ceasefire in Lebanon on a short-term and temporary basis.”
The official Lebanese news agency also announced that the country’s army units were deployed in the towns of Shiheen and Al-Jubain in southwestern Lebanon.
This action by the Lebanese army was taken after the withdrawal of the Zionist enemy forces by the ceasefire agreement.
On the other hand, the Al-Mayadeen network reported that the Zionist army forces fired from the Tal Al-Hamams area south of the town of Al-Khayyam towards the “Sardeh” and “Al-Umrah” areas.
The news network’s reporter announced that the Zionist occupiers had carried out an explosion in the town of Aitron in southern Lebanon.
Al-Mayadeen also reported that the occupiers had also set fire to several houses in this Lebanese town.
