PNN – A senior White House official admitted that the objective of attacking boats is not merely combating drug trafficking but overthrowing the Venezuelan government.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff, said in an interview with Vanity Fair that US military attacks against boats suspected of drug trafficking around Latin America are in fact aimed at toppling Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, and that the goal is not solely fighting drugs.

She added that US President Donald Trump wants to continue attacking the boats until Maduro surrenders.
On Tuesday, the US president announced that the White House has designated the ruling system in Venezuela as a “foreign terrorist organization” and will implement a complete blockade of the country.
Trump stressed that all sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela will be placed under blockade.
US-Venezuela relations have repeatedly faced tensions in recent years, and Washington has pressured the Maduro government by imposing extensive sanctions on Caracas.
