PNN – The National Security Adviser of the White House said early Monday that it is difficult to determine a timetable for a prisoner exchange agreement between the Zionist regime and Hamas, and a temporary cessation of hostilities in Gaza.
According to Pakistan News Network, White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan claimed on Monday morning that reaching an agreement on a prisoner exchange between the Zionist regime and Hamas, and a temporary cessation of hostilities in Gaza, is not within reach.
In an interview with ABC, Sullivan said: “In our view, the prisoner exchange agreement is necessary to create a lasting pause in the hostilities that can lead to the arrival of humanitarian aid to Gaza and reduce the suffering [of the Palestinians].

He explained about this: Such negotiations go slowly until the speed becomes very fast. For this reason, it is difficult to set a precise timetable for when an agreement will be reached, or indeed if an agreement will be reached.
This American security official reiterated that Washington knows only one sustainable solution to achieve peace in the West Asian region and ensure the security of the Zionist regime, and that is the formation of a Palestinian state with security guarantees for Tel Aviv.
According to this report, Sullivan added: “In my opinion, since October 7th [2023], the need to work on this issue (the establishment of a Palestinian state) has increased even more.”
Earlier, a Qatari official had said about the status of the negotiations on the prisoner exchange agreement that the establishment of a comprehensive ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of the Zionist military from Gaza, the provision of security for the refugees, the reconstruction of Gaza and the new operation of the exchange of prisoners are among the provisions of the new plan.
