White House: We expect revenge from the Yemenis, but we are not looking for war

PNN – The White House spokesman said in a press conference on Tuesday that he expects revenge from the Yemenis, but is not looking for war.

According to Pakistan News Network, the White House spokesman said in a press conference on Tuesday evening that the United States expects to face revenge attacks by the Yemenis due to the attacks of the United States and England a few days ago.

Despite this, the White House spokesman clarified: “We are not looking for war with them.” He said the US wants the attacks in the Red Sea to stop.

Last Friday morning, the United States and Britain targeted dozens of places in Yemen with planes, ships and submarines in response to the operations of the Yemeni army in the Red Sea against Israeli ships and American forces. According to American officials, the targets of this attack were training sites, airbases and drone maintenance facilities belonging to Yemeni Ansarullah.

Immediately after this attack, Yemeni Ansarullah forces announced that they are firing ballistic missiles towards enemy positions in the waters.

The United States carried out other attacks on places in Yemen on Saturday morning, but some Western analysts and media have said that these attacks did not affect the situation in the Red Sea and the military capabilities of the Yemenis.

The spokesman of the White House claimed in tonight’s press conference that America had never said that the attacks would lead to the destruction of the offensive capabilities of the Houthis (Yemen’s Ansarullah).

He also claimed that the US has destroyed Yemeni ballistic missiles on Tuesday by carrying out other attacks.

Following the US and British attacks, Palestinian groups including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement while supporting the Yemeni people and condemning the missile attack.

The spokesman of the White House said that “Brett McGurk”, the adviser of the American president on Middle East issues, has focused on the release of 6 Americans who are believed to be still in the captivity of Hamas.

On October 7th, the Islamic resistance movement of Palestine, Hamas, in response to more than seven decades of occupation of Palestine and nearly two decades of siege of Gaza and imprisonment and torture of thousands of Palestinians, started the operation known as “Al-Aqsa Storm”.

This operation was one of the deadliest attacks against this regime. Hamas fighters penetrated into the occupied territories at several points of the border fences, attacked the villages and besides killing a large number of Israelis, captured a number of them.

In response to this operation, the Zionist regime launched heavy attacks against Gaza and put this area under complete siege. Despite this, as analysts say, the al-Aqsa storm operation has imposed a major security-political defeat on Israel.
