Who do Americans blame for the ongoing government shutdown?

The US federal government shutdown, which occurred due to the failure of negotiations between Democrats and Republicans on the budget bill, has also caused a flood of accusations on social media.
The YouGov and CBS poll shows that 39 percent of Americans blame Trump and the party and Republicans for the government shutdown. In contrast, 30 percent of Democrats and 31 percent blame both parties equally.
More than half of Americans (52 percent) disapprove of Trump’s handling of the government shutdown. 52 percent blame congressional Republicans and 49 percent blame congressional Democrats.
When asked what issue the shutdown was most likely to be about, 36 percent said health care, which is a central issue for Democrats.
