Who is the new head of the Shin Bet?
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to appoint Navy Commander Eli Shervit as the head of the Shin Bet.
Netanyahu’s office stated the matter, adding: “The selection of Eli Shervit as the head of the Shin Bet was made after meeting and consulting with seven qualified candidates for the position.”
The statement said: Brigadier General Eli Shervit, a reserve officer in the Israeli army, served in the army for 36 years and was the commander of the navy for five years. Shervit led the process of empowering the navy and commanded complex military operations against Hamas, Iran, and Hezbollah.
Netanyahu’s office also acknowledged: “The Shin Bet experienced a major shock on October 7, and the prime minister believes that Shervit is the right person to head the Shin Bet to continue its original approaches.”
For the first time in the fake history of the Israeli regime, the regime’s cabinet removed former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar from his position following the disgraceful failure of the October 7th operation and after his differences with Netanyahu deepened.
