Why did “Mahmoud Abbas” talk about his trip to the Gaza Strip?

PNN – In a report, Rai-alyoum newspaper examined the percentage of possible implementation of the recent decision of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to visit the Gaza Strip and the reason why he took such a decision at this time.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from Rai-alyoum newspaper, ever since Mahmoud Abbas spoke about the trip to the Gaza Strip, no official comments have been made by the authorities of the self-governing organizations, the Fatah movement, and even the Hamas movement about this trip. This issue raises many questions and creates many uncertainties.

This Arabic-language media wrote: According to available information, Abbas’s trip to Gaza will not take place in the near future, because this requires coordination and dialogue between Fatah and Hamas, which governs Gaza, and on the other hand, the fact that the Israeli regime allows Mahmoud Abbas to enter is questionable. The big question is, will Tel Aviv allow Mahmoud Abbas to enter through the currently closed crossings, or should he go through Egypt and the Rafah crossing, which is now under the complete control of this regime after its complete destruction?

Rai-Alyoum continued: According to these scenarios, Mahmoud Abbas’s trip will not take place in the coming days, because it requires very complicated security and political checks. Some believe that there will be no trip at all and that this is only a lever of threat against the Zionist regime and there are many obstacles that make its implementation impractical.

Rai-Alyoum continued: Mahmoud Abbas’s trip is the first of its kind after the 18-year control and management of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, and the Zionist regime has not reacted to Mahmoud Abbas’s decision because he has other thoughts in his mind.

According to Rai-Alyoum, the Zionist website “Walla” has looked at the visit of Mahmoud Abbas with doubt and has raised the question that this trip is possible in the situation that the Israeli regime occupies the crossings of the Gaza Strip.

“Jihad Harb”, an expert on Palestinian affairs, in an interview with Rai Alyoum about the reason for such a decision by Mahmoud Abbas, said: This trip is not possible in the current situation because apart from the security and political risks, Israel does not allow it. This position of Mahmoud Abbas does not change the war against the Gaza Strip, because the Palestinian Authority is not a party to the negotiations related to achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This position of Mahmoud Abbas was taken due to the international community ignoring the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) regarding the so-called “post-war” plans against the Gaza Strip and gaining the support of the Palestinians.
