Why did Netanyahu have to accept the ceasefire after opposing it 13 times?

In a report, Rayalyoum electronic newspaper discussed the reasons for the frequent opposition of the Zionist regime to the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and wrote that according to the announcement of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet obstructed the process of implementing the ceasefire 13 times, but in the end, they were forced to They accepted it.

The author of this article, “Rally Al-Ra Haroub”, points out 7 reasons based on which Netanyahu was against signing this agreement:

First: The implementation of this agreement is a victory for Hamas, which Netanyahu and his army chiefs and cabinet did not accept. While the Zionist regime has not achieved any of the goals of its brutal attack against the Gaza Strip, Hamas leaders have announced from the beginning that the release of Palestinian prisoners is one of the most important goals of the Al-Aqsa storm operation. In this way, the ceasefire and the exchange of prisoners can be considered a great victory for the resistance, which encourages them to repeat this operation in the future.

On the other hand, it can be said that the civilian hostages, including women and children, created a moral, media, and political responsibility for the resistance groups, and it was in the interests of these groups to release them by taking the privilege of freeing a number of Palestinian prisoners.

Second: The exchange of prisoners required a humanitarian ceasefire, which Netanyahu and the Israeli army did not want to agree to, so that the Hamas movement could continue to fight as a result of the attacks of the Zionist regime. This is despite the fact that the Israeli army failed even to assassinate the senior leaders of Hamas or to destroy its political and military structure, and they failed to destroy the popular base of Hamas and other resistance groups.

Third: Netanyahu and his cabinet were trying to use the Israeli prisoners of war as a lever to pressure Western and European capitals and thus benefit from the support of the international media. In this regard, some pro-Israel international media had prepared numerous reports about the hardships of the families of Israeli prisoners so that they might be able to justify the Zionists’ attacks and their malice towards the Palestinians in the Gaza genocide.

Fourth: Netanyahu and his cabinet know that the statements and materials raised by Israeli prisoners can reveal their lies about Hamas and resistance groups, as well as efforts to save the lives of Israeli settlers, lies that will definitely lead to the downfall of Netanyahu’s cabinet and military leaders. His security will lead.

Fifth: Netanyahu and his far-right cabinet never value other human lives – not only among their enemies but also for Israelis. Netanyahu is a pragmatic politician and uses Talmudic teachings to commit genocide and kill women and children in Gaza. Through this war, Israel seeks to implement the old Zionist project of killing the Palestinian people and forcing them to migrate and confiscate their lands, and this ceasefire is against these goals.

Sixth: Netanyahu and the political and military leaders of this regime sought to prolong the scope of the war despite the extensive economic losses because they knew very well that if they could not show a sign of a victory, they would lose their political future and the investigative committees will start themselves. At the same time, Netanyahu appears in court in economic corruption cases, and other accusations such as neglecting the security of the settlers and lying and hiding the real casualties, as well as the killing of Israeli settlers on October 7, are added to them. What will happen? In this way, it is clear that the cease-fire agreement and the exchange of prisoners are not in their favor, and in addition to providing an opportunity to re-strengthen the Hamas movement, it also provides the basis for a political solution to the current war, and this is what Netanyahu is not looking for.
