Why does Türkiye now consider the Zionist regime as a serious threat to itself?

Following recent developments in the region, and especially after the Zionist regime’s numerous incursions into Syrian territory and airspace, there are whispers in Turkey that the country needs to be prepared to deal with Israel.

In the occupied territories, Zionists are also pointing out that Turkey is turning from a regional rival into an enemy and a serious threat to the regime, and therefore, the two sides are changing their assessments of each other.

In this regard, the Hebrew-language website Netsiv reported on this issue:

Turkey’s decision to completely sever relations shows that Ankara now sees Israel not only as a regional rival but also as a direct threat to its security and strategic interests.

In a significant shift in Turkish-Israeli relations, Ankara announced in late August a complete suspension of trade with Israel, closing its ports to Israeli ships and restricting its airspace to Israeli flights.

While the move was officially designed as a protest against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, analysts say it goes beyond a moral response.
