PNN – Hebrew-language media have pointed to the noteworthy silence of Netanyahu and the Israeli regime’s defense minister regarding the outbreak of clashes in southern Syria.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Ma’an, Hebrew-language media reported that political circles in the Israeli regime—especially Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz—have remained silent in response to the recent developments in southern Syria and the wounding of six Israeli soldiers in an exchange of fire in that area.

Tel Aviv: “Absolute victory” against the resistance is impossible
According to the report, during an exchange of fire in the Beit Jinn area between Syrian forces and Israeli soldiers, 11 kilometers from the shared borders, at least six Israeli soldiers were seriously wounded. Despite the fact that this incident carries political and security implications for the Israeli regime, neither Netanyahu nor the regime’s defense minister has issued any reaction.
Reports by Israeli media indicate that Netanyahu and Katz have chosen silence in order not to provoke the anger of U.S. President Donald Trump, who is working to secure a security agreement between Damascus and Tel Aviv.
Israeli assessments suggest that Tel Aviv was caught off guard, in terms of intelligence, regarding the developments in southern Syria, and concerns have arisen about the possible leaking of information related to the movements of Israeli soldiers. Security circles in Tel Aviv are worried about the consequences of the expansion of clashes in Syria and the opening of yet another front.
