Why is Netanyahu seeking a pardon after eight years of obstruction?
As the trial of Netanyahu for corruption cases has become more serious, he has sent a letter to “Isaac Herzog”, the President of the Zionist regime, after eight years of trial, requesting clemency. Requesting clemency is a precedent in the judicial structure of the Zionist regime and has been made many times for ordinary people, politicians, and even organized criminals; of course, each has different conditions.
In the judicial structure of the Zionist regime, this process usually takes place in conditions where the trial process is long or the proof of the crime and the transition from the stage of accusation to proof takes more time than usual. In these conditions, according to the laws governing the judicial structure of the Zionist regime, the judge has the authority to compromise with the defendant regarding the type and amount of his punishment if the defendant confesses to his crime and accepts his guilt.
Netanyahu’s corruption goes beyond the four cases known as one thousand, two thousand, three thousand and four thousand. These cases involve bribery, abuse of power, and giving privileges to certain media outlets in exchange for positive coverage of him and his family. The then-Prime Minister of the Zionist regime used tricks such as distorting the truth, political pressure, and involving the trial process with other issues to avoid accepting some of the charges, but he had no way to escape all of them.
