Why is the Palestinian issue important for Yemeni resistance?

Why is the Palestinian issue important for Yemeni resistance?

Farid Haeri; It has been a while since the Gaza Strip was invaded by the brutal attacks of the usurping Israeli regime, while the international community, especially the Western countries, which were concerned about the most oppressed Ukraine last year, have remained silent on the issue of Palestine.

Along with the Islamic Republic, which has always supported the oppressed, several countries in the region have reacted to the Israeli-Palestinian war, one of these countries being Yemen. The people of Yemen have so far held several large marches in the country’s capital Sana’a and other cities and demanded the defense of the Palestinian nation against the brutal attack of the Zionist regime on Gaza.

In these years, Yemen has shown well that it is an active part of the resistance and reacts quickly to any threat. Brutal attacks against Gaza can cause problems for Yemen in the future.

Muhammad Parsa Najafi, an expert on Yemeni issues: The issue of Palestine is important for the Yemeni nation from three axes; First, Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the first Qibla of Muslims and has priority for all Muslims. Second, sympathy for the people of Gaza, who have been under siege by the United States and England for years, because the people of Yemen have been under siege by land, air, and sea since 9 years ago, and the lack of food, medicine, and medical equipment in Yemen is far more severe than It is Palestine.

He further said: The third reason is the presence of the Zionist regime in the aggressive coalition of the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates, which attacked Yemen in 2015. Netanyahu had several times been proud of the presence of the Israeli army in the killing of the Yemeni people; Also, the Zionist aggressor troops, accompanied by the United States, have occupied Prim Island at the entrance to the Bab Al Mandab Strait and Socotri Island, both of which belong to Yemen.

The expert on Yemen issues stated: Therefore, Yemen has the right to target the Zionist regime from any religious, legal, and humanitarian point of view, and the above cases caused the government of Sana’a, led by the Ansarullah movement, to carry out several missile and drone attacks on the Zionist regime.

He added: In other words, Yemen showed that it is a very active part of the resistance axis and can respond to any threat with military counteraction. The first four attacks of Yemen against the Zionist regime were in the first attack with several cruise missiles and drones launched from the Red Sea towards the occupiers of Jerusalem, which were intercepted by American ships in the Red Sea.

Najafi clarified: The second drone attack on the port of Eilat in the south of occupied Palestine and the third attack on the Zionist military observation base on Dehlek Island, in the Red Sea, which belongs to Eritrea, during which an Israeli intelligence colonel was killed; The fourth missile attack on the south of the occupied Palestine, which of course was intercepted again and the ARO system shot it down, but the important thing is that the Yemenis attacked the Zionist regime from the Red Sea in the first attack, but they used the Saudi sky in the next attack. This time, the government of Riyadh informed Tel Aviv about the passage of Ansarullah missiles, and the Zionists were able to intercept and destroy them.

He explained: In fact, the governments of Riyadh and Tel Aviv are allies of America. We also see that the UAE is in the coalition of the aggressors in Yemen, but it supported the killing of the people of Gaza by the Zionist regime and condemned the struggle of the Palestinian people in the United Nations. As a result, if any action is taken to fight against Tel Aviv, it will be only from the axis of resistance, and the expectation of fighting against Israel by Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other Arabs who are America’s allies is actually absurd.

Najafi further said: The proposal made by some Yemenis to block the Bab al-Mandab strait will be the best blow to America and the Zionist regime. It should not be forgotten that Yemeni civilians, like children in Gaza, are killed as a result of the food and medicine blockade and as a result of the aggression of Saudi Arabia, America and Israel in Yemen, and according to UN statistics, a Yemeni child dies every 6 minutes.
