Will handing over the officer’s body lead to the second phase of the Gaza agreement?

The return of Hadar Golden’s body could potentially shape public opinion towards moving towards the second phase of the agreement between Hamas and the Israeli regime, which could also lead to the amnesty and release of 200 Al-Qassam fighters (the military wing of Hamas) who were trapped inside a tunnel in Rafah.

According to Haaretz, the US and the mediating countries are pressuring the Israeli regime to allow the Al-Qassam forces to leave the tunnel.

The Zionist media added: The return of Golden’s body will allow US President Donald Trump to move towards the second phase of the Gaza agreement.

According to political leaders in Tel Aviv, it is difficult to assess whether the return of Golden’s body could be a step towards another agreement and lead to the release of 200 Al-Qassam fighters.

According to the report, informed sources say that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet made a decision on this matter and will make a decision today (Monday) after meeting with Trump’s advisor Jared Kushner.

Recently, senior Hamas member Mohammed Nazzal said that the Zionist occupation regime is fully responsible for any possible conflict in Rafah.

Nazzal said that Hamas emphasizes maintaining its political credibility by adhering to the commitments of the ceasefire agreement and that the mediating countries should take action to find a solution regarding the presence of the Al-Qassam Forces in Rafah.

He clarified that the transfer of the resistance forces from Rafah to outside the Gaza Strip is out of the question and efforts to resolve the crisis are ongoing.

The Hamas member added that the mediating countries are contacting Washington to make the necessary amendments to the US draft resolution on the international force in Gaza.
