Speaking to Fox News about the proposed plan by US officials to resolve the Gaza war, Witkoff claimed: The President (Trump) wants a comprehensive peace. It’s not just about Gaza, but about how this (peace) could potentially spread to other regions in the Middle East and what it would achieve, and maybe even penetrate Russia and Ukraine

He claimed that both the Persian Gulf countries and the Europeans support Trump’s initiative.

The White House previously released a plan to resolve the war in the Gaza Strip. The plan calls for a complete cessation of hostilities and the release of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas within 72 hours. In addition, the document proposes transferring the administration of the Strip to a temporary foreign government for a transitional period. During this period, Gaza residents have the opportunity to leave or return to the Strip if they wish.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at a joint press conference with Trump in Washington, claimed to support Trump’s plan to end the military operation in Gaza, and claimed that if Hamas rejects or sabotages this proposal, “Israel will finish the job alone”!
