World Bank: The damage to Gaza’s infrastructure has been estimated at 18.5 billion dollars

PNN – The latest report of the World Bank and the United Nations shows that the damage caused to Gaza’s infrastructure as a result of Israel’s attacks has been 18.5 billion dollars so far.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Reuters, this report states: This amount of damage is equivalent to 97 percent of the total gross domestic product of the West Bank and Gaza in 2022.

The report shows that damage to structures has affected every sector of Gaza’s economy.

According to this report, damage to residential buildings constitutes 72% of the damages. Also, damage to public service infrastructure such as water, health and education constitutes 19% and damage to commercial and industrial buildings constitutes 9% of these damages.

This report adds: “Approximately 26 million tons of debris have been created following these damages, which is estimated to take years to remove and collect.”

During the last 6 months, the Zionist regime has launched a massive massacre in Gaza. This regime has closed all crossings in the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area. So far, more than 32,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 74,000 others have been injured.
