Yahya Rasoul: Terrorists will receive a decisive response if they approach Iraq’s borders.
According to Arabi 21, Yahya Rasoul, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, stressed that the country’s common borders with Syria are completely secure.
He added: “Ensuring the complete security of Iraq’s borders is our priority. The equipment of the Iraqi forces is stationed on the country’s borders. These weapons include the latest military equipment, and the borders are also monitored by drones.”
Rasoul added: “Behind the Iraqi border forces, army forces are also stationed to ensure the security of these areas. The Iraqi armed forces are continuously and successively conducting border surveillance operations.”
He said: “The security services are also monitoring the movements of terrorist elements, and if they try to reach the Iraqi borders, they will face a strong and decisive response.”
Rasoul said: “Recently, in an operation by the Iraqi armed forces in the Wadi Horan region, at least six tunnels belonging to the remnants of the ISIS terrorist organization were destroyed.”
