Yemen, a thorn in the side of imperialism; from missile self-sufficiency to the humiliation of the American ship.

Yemen, a thorn in the side of imperialism, went from missile self-sufficiency to the humiliation of the American ship.

While the Yemeni army has shown its indigenous power and revolutionary will to its enemies with missile and drone attacks on the aircraft carrier “Harry Truman” and the military positions of the Zionist regime, Donald Trump is trying to justify America’s failures with baseless threats and accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Are these verbal and military displays a sign of the weakness of the White House’s puppet hegemony or a desperate attempt to rebuild the tarnished image of imperialism?

Yemeni missiles, Washington’s nightmare; self-sufficiency that disturbed America’s sleep
In a statement, US President Donald Trump acknowledged the amazing capabilities of Yemen’s Ansarullah, saying: “They are not a group of inefficient people. They make their missiles.” This admission is clear evidence of Yemen’s military advances in the shadow of resistance and self-confidence. The Yemeni army, which has been under the most intense attacks of the Saudi-American coalition for years, has now not only managed to rebuild itself but has also become a force that challenges the giant American ships in the Red Sea.

Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, announced with authority that the Harry Truman and several other US Navy vessels have been targeted by missile and drone attacks. This operation, which is highly complex from a technical and strategic perspective, demonstrates the depth of Yemeni self-sufficiency, self-sufficiency that would never have reached this level without a revolutionary spirit and resistance to oppression. Meanwhile, the drone attacks on the occupied Jaffa region were also a clear message to the Zionist regime: Yemeni resistance is not limited to its borders and reaches the heart of the enemy.

The Truman ship is within range; The Dark Days of American Military Hegemony
The attack on the aircraft carrier “Harry Truman” was not just a military operation but a blow to the military prestige of the United States. This ship, which is considered a symbol of the White House’s naval power, was targeted by the Yemenis with precision strikes before the astonished eyes of the world. The Houthis announced in an official statement that the operation was successful and that other US Navy vessels were not spared from these attacks. In contrast, Trump tried to turn the defeat into a victory by making the ridiculous claim that “the Houthis fled” and “the worst of them were killed”,; a claim that was ridiculed by official Yemeni statements and published images of the operation. The US Secretary of Defense also claimed, repeating the slogan “freedom of navigation”, that the Houthis were being destroyed. However, the reality on the ground shows that these attacks not only did not weaken the Yemenis but also strengthened the spirit of resistance among them. This operation sent a clear message to the United States and its allies: Your era of undisputed dominance is over, and oppressed nations will no longer be burdened by your oppression.

Blaming Iran: A flimsy scenario to justify defeat
Continuing his speech, Trump repeated baseless allegations and claimed that the Houthis are supported by Iran. These accusations, which have been heard from American officials for years, are more an attempt to cover up Washington’s military and political failures in the region than they are a reflection of reality. The reality is that Yemen has reached this level of power by relying on its domestic power and popular will.

The missiles and drones used in the recent operation are the product of years of local efforts and Yemeni initiative. Of course, the moral and political support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the oppressed people of Yemen, which is rooted in humanitarian and Islamic principles, is undeniable. However, this support never means direct intervention or remote control. On the contrary, it is America that has shown itself to be the biggest regional threat by sending deadly weapons to the Zionist regime and supporting crimes in Gaza and Yemen.

Empty threats and an uncertain future for the White House
While Yemen bravely attacks American ships and terrifies the Zionist regime, America has no choice but to make empty threats and projections. History has shown that such pressures have not only not weakened the axis of resistance but have made them more united and determined. Today, Yemen, as one of the pillars of the resistance front, has proven that no power can break the will of free nations.

Trump’s admission of the Yemenis’ missile-making capabilities and baseless accusations against Iran have only exposed another curtain of imperialism’s failed show. The Yemeni resistance, relying on self-sufficiency and the moral support of the resistance front, has shown that the era of threats and intimidation is over and the future belongs to the oppressed and struggling nations.
