Yemen shattered the equations of arrogance with the cry of resistance.

In an exclusive interview with Islam Times, Yemeni writer and media activist Umm Hashim al-Junaid spoke about the transformation that the famous “cry” of Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the martyred leader of the Ansar Allah movement, brought about in the public consciousness and the path of Islamic resistance. She described this cry as more than a slogan; it was a liberating project that played a significant role in the formation of a new wave of awakening and resistance against global arrogance.

“At a time when consciousness was weakened and the chains of dependence were strengthened, a cry arose from the Saadah; a cry that arose from faith that was not satisfied with just a slogan, but created consciousness and redefined friends and enemies,” said al-Junaid.

At a time when some Arab regimes were accelerating their efforts to normalize relations with the Zionist regime and were effectively handing over the decision-making power to the United States, Al-Junaid described this cry as a “new polarization to awaken the Arab conscience.” “This cry was not against religion or sect, but rather a confrontation with arrogance in all its forms, and exposing the distorted face of the enemy in affiliated media.”

In response to the implicit question of whether this cry was able to find its way into action, he said, “It didn’t take more than a few years for this slogan to become a reality; it became a bullet in the hands of the Mujahideen and a full-fledged project for confrontation. The echo of this cry today can be heard as far as the Red Sea, the Golan Heights, and the heart of Palestine.”

Al-Junaid continued by pointing to the tangible results of this path, saying, “America, with all its coalitions, was unable to silence the voice of Yemen. This cry brought America to its knees, not with advanced weapons, but with true awareness, deep-rooted faith, and men who do not know defeat. Today, Sana’a dictates new equations at sea and in ports.”

At the end of this conversation, Al-Junaid emphasized that the aforementioned cry was not a passing moment, but a continuous and dynamic project that is in harmony with every stage of the battle: “Today, we hear the echo of the cry in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, and every place where the voice of truth resonates. This cry taught us that resistance begins with awareness… and culminates in victory.”
