Yemen warns of a massive oil spill in the Red Sea due to US attacks.
According to Russia Today, Yemeni officials have warned of a large-scale oil spill in the Red Sea as a result of the recent US attacks on the Ras Issa oil port in Hodeidah province.
Yemeni Foreign Minister Jamal Amer wrote to the United Nations and Secretary-General Guterres: American aggressors have destroyed the civilian infrastructure of the Ras Issa port.
He added: “What is more dangerous is that the American aggressors have caused a marine environmental disaster because large amounts of oil derivatives have penetrated the waters of the Red Sea and neighboring areas.”
He held the US fully internationally responsible for this crime in the Ras Issa port and its catastrophic consequences.
So far, there has been no reaction from Washington on this issue.
