Zakharova: US has turned Zelensky’s regime into a “terrorist group”
Referring to the uncontrolled flow of weapons and funds to Ukraine from the United States, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Washington has turned Volodymyr Zelensky’s regime into a terrorist group and has deliberately adopted a policy of silence about it, according to TASS.
Referring to the US State Department’s 2023 counterterrorism report, published on December 12, Zakharova stressed that the compilers of the report “deliberately refuse to address or even acknowledge the fact that the Zelensky regime has turned into a terrorist cell.”
She stressed that this year’s report, like previous years, is full of lies and is based on a complete lack of any standards, except that it was prepared based on political bias and manipulation of facts. The only thing it confirms is that the Kyiv regime is deliberately supported and justified by the United States. Meanwhile, the uncontrolled flow of American money and weapons into Ukraine has turned Kyiv into a breeding ground for terrorism and a laboratory for testing extremely brutal and sophisticated methods of undermining Russian security.
The senior Russian diplomat added that the report also prominently contains a “stupid attempt” to refute Moscow’s accusations against Kyiv. How egregious all this seems, especially after the whole world saw the footage of the December 17 terrorist attack that killed Igor Krylov, commander of the Russian army’s radio, chemical, and biological defense forces, for which the Ukrainians once again claimed responsibility.
According to Zakharova, the US State Department did not hesitate to include blatant lies in the report. She continued: “The report claims that not a single terrorist act was committed in Russia in 2023. The US State Department naturally turns a blind eye to terrorist attacks against journalists, government figures, and civilian infrastructure.
