Zelensky demands security guarantees “similar to Tel Aviv”!
According to Russia Today, after reports emerged that Ukraine’s European supporters opposed some of the terms and significant points of US President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Washington to provide Kiev with security assistance similar to that provided by the Zionist regime.
Washington presented its draft plan during ongoing talks in Paris to resolve the war between Kyiv and Moscow. According to reports, Ukrainian officials and their European counterparts in NATO tabled their counter-offer at a meeting in London immediately after.
Zelensky stressed to reporters that any peace agreement with Moscow must be supported by US military, financial, and political assistance.
He said, “The London talks focused on security guarantees from the US.” We hope that (these guarantees) will be as reliable as those provided to Israel (!) Moreover, we expect support from our European partners and are actively building the necessary infrastructure for these guarantees.
Speculation about support for Ukraine on a model similar to the “Israeli model” first arose during the presidency of former US President Joe Biden, just as Western officials gradually acknowledged that Kyiv could not become a member of NATO. Instead, they were looking for ways to ensure at least long-term support and a steady flow of Western weapons to Ukraine.
Zelensky’s remarks came amid a widening rift between Kyiv and Washington. Trump has called on Kiev to accept a “final offer,” and Trump’s plan reportedly includes a halt to fighting along the current front lines and recognition of Crimea as Russian territory, a condition that Zelensky has strongly opposed.
