Zelensky: If US aid is cut off, we will definitely fail.
According to Sputnik, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that if US military aid to Kyiv is cut off, Ukraine’s defeat will be certain.
He, who participated in a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, answered the question of what would happen if the US reduced its military aid to Ukraine, saying: “If the aid is reduced or stopped, I think we will fail.”
According to Zelensky, the war in Ukraine is currently in a “very difficult period.”
He went on to add that if there is no “unity” among European countries on the issue of Ukraine, the situation will be very dangerous.
The Ukrainian President continued: “Of course, we will continue to fight and struggle, but I do not think that this alone will be enough to win.”
Volodymyr Zelensky also said in the country’s parliament on Tuesday, while presenting Kyiv’s 10-point plan for what has been called national resistance, that next year will be decisive in determining the winner of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, wrote on his Telegram channel, quoting Zelensky: “We will not trade our security and sovereignty, and we will not give up our right and ownership of the entire territory of Ukraine.”
Zelensky added: “In the decisive moments that will come next year, we must not allow anyone to doubt the resistance of our entire country. And at this stage, the winner (of the war) will be determined.”
Zelensky’s statements came after reports were published about Washington giving Kiev the green light to use American long-range weapons deep in Russian territory. Zelensky said yesterday in response to these reports that “words do not mean strikes, and missiles speak for themselves”!
