PNN – The Ukrainian president announced that the Iran war has reduced support for Ukraine and changed Washington’s priorities.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed concern that a protracted U.S.-Israeli war against Iran could further reduce U.S. support for Ukraine as Washington’s global priorities shift and Kyiv prepares to cut back on deliveries of badly needed Patriot air defense missiles.

In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press late Saturday in Istanbul, Zelenskyy said Ukraine desperately needs the U.S.-made Patriot air defense systems to help counter daily Russian attacks.

The President of Ukraine said: We have to accept that we are not the priority today. That is why I fear that a long war (with Iran) will provide us with less support.

He said: Even these discussions indicate a loss of broader Ukrainian focus.

Zelensky said his most immediate concern is the Patriots, which are essential to intercept Russian ballistic missiles because Ukraine still lacks an effective alternative.

The Ukrainian president stressed: These American systems were never delivered in sufficient quantities to begin with, and if the Iran war does not end soon, I think this package – which is not very big for us – will become smaller and smaller day by day.

He continued: That is why we are afraid
