PNN – A US media outlet reported that the Ukrainian president will meet with officials from the United States, Britain, France, and Germany in Berlin on Monday.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Axios website reported, citing two White House officials, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet on Monday in Berlin with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, advisers to the US president, as well as officials from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.

According to the report, Zelensky has proposed holding a referendum on transferring territory to Russia.

Axios added that the United States supports this proposal and that talks on providing security guarantees and rebuilding Ukraine have also made good progress.

A senior US official said the Donald Trump administration is prepared to offer Ukraine security guarantees based on NATO’s Article 5, provided they are approved by Congress and are legally binding

Under the current proposal, the war would end with Ukraine retaining sovereignty over 80 percent of its territory, while benefiting from security guarantees and economic aid packages.

Axios also described the handover of territories that Russia has not yet occupied, as well as the possibility of Moscow opposing a revised version of the US peace plan, as among the key challenges.
