According to Al Jazeera, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that teams from Ukraine and the United States are working on a draft agreement between the two countries.
He said: This agreement can strengthen our relations and I hope for fair results.
Zelensky stated that he had important contacts with the leaders of various countries today, including Poland, Ireland, Germany, and Sweden.
He said: In contact with German Chancellor Olaf Schulz, he discussed the common positions of the two countries and ending the war and security guarantees.
Zelensky, appreciating Germany’s support, said: Its aid to Ukraine has reached 43.6 billion euros and the Ukrainian people will always be grateful for this generous support.
The Wall Street Journal also revealed, citing its sources: That the United States and Ukraine may sign a mining agreement.
Zelensky’s comments regarding the draft agreement between Ukraine and the United States come after US President Donald Trump announced hours earlier that he was close to an agreement on mineral resources with Ukraine, saying: “This agreement will be in the interest of the United States.”
