PNN – Ukraine’s president on Tuesday called for more help from the West, saying that Russia’s attack on NATO members would lead to World War III.
According to Pakistan News Network, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday called for stronger military support from Western countries and warned that if Ukraine fails to defeat Russia, there is a possibility of World War III.
According to “Anatolia” news agency, Zelensky said in an interview with Germany’s “Irdi” channel that German Chancellor Olaf Schultz has better understood the true nature of the threat and has started to increase his military support.
“My impression is that Schultz understood that Putin is not just a name, but a threat, and not just a threat to Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

According to this report, opposition to military aid to Ukraine has increased in recent months. Although the members of the US Congress still want to continue supporting Ukraine, they have stopped agreeing to send more weapons. The failure of the Ukrainian army to achieve military gains during the country’s recent counterattack is considered one of the reasons for increasing opposition to sending more military aid to Ukraine.
“Schultz feels that if we don’t resist, Russia will get closer to Germany and the European and Baltic countries can be Russia’s next target after Ukraine,” he said.
The president of Ukraine added: “Shultz knows that there is such a danger and it is definitely the third world war. If Russia strikes these NATO members, it will mean the beginning of World War III in any case.”
Zelensky called on Western countries to increase their support for Ukraine and said that he expects Germany to play a leading role in Europe in terms of military support for his country.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Kremlin, stated that the European Union and NATO have sent tens of billions of dollars of weapons to Ukraine.
He said: “We know that Europe, NATO, and the United States have given tens of billions of dollars in weapons to Ukraine, but sending weapons to Ukraine cannot fundamentally change anything.”
