Zelensky: Ukraine and India have agreed on signing four documents

PNN – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kiev that the two countries have agreed to sign four documents.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Anatolia news agency, the President of Ukraine referred to the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to this country as a historic trip and said: The signed documents cover areas such as medical cooperation, agriculture, humanitarian and cultural relations.

Zelensky went on to say that both sides agreed in this meeting to issue a joint statement focusing on the development of strategic partnership, and added: This joint statement is about the establishment of bilateral trade and military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and India.

The President of Ukraine also thanked India for participating in the first Ukrainian peace meeting held in Switzerland in June and said: The issue of ending the war and achieving a just peace is the priority of Kyiv.

Referring to the 16 humanitarian packages that India has provided to Ukraine so far, Zelensky appreciated New Delhi’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Anatolia news agency, Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Ukraine since the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries in 1992.

Indian Prime Minister Modi met Ukrainian President Zelensky (Friday) in Kiev.

This meeting took place while many hope it will pave the way for India as a mediator.

Officials of India and Ukraine say that in this meeting, the two sides will focus on expanding economic relations and cooperation in the field of defense, science and technology. But according to analysts, this is an attempt by Modi to show himself neutral, after he was accused of supporting Moscow by visiting Russia.

Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, called the meeting of the Indian Prime Minister historic and emphasized that Ukraine expects India to play a role in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Yermak told “India Today” about this: We respect India as one of the largest democracies in the world and a powerful country, but now it is necessary to say who was the aggressor and which side was the victim (of the war).
