Zelensky: Ukraine will not be second to Afghanistan.
On Sunday, Zelensky praised the US House of Representatives’ approval of $60 billion in aid to Ukraine but called on Washington to immediately pass the bill into law and move forward with the actual arms transfer.
In a conversation with NBC, he said that the approval of this bill sends a strong message to Russia that Washington stands by Kyiv and will not turn into a second Afghanistan.
The president of Ukraine said in this conversation: I think this support will really strengthen the armed forces of Ukraine and we will have a chance to win.
“We really need to get this to the final stage before we get tangible help for soldiers on the front lines soon,” Zelensky noted.
On Saturday, the US House of Representatives finally approved the aid of 60.84 billion dollars to Ukraine with 311 votes in favor and 112 votes against.
