PNN – On the eve of the EU summit, the President of Ukraine stated that the U.S. proposal to divide Zaporizhzhia into three parts is unfair, and Ukraine does not agree with all aspects of the American plan.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, reported that today, Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, ahead of the two-day summit of the 27 EU member states, said that the U.S. proposal for a compromise over dividing Zaporizhzhia into three parts is unjust. He added that while Ukraine supports the U.S. initiative to end the war, it does not agree with all future details of the plan.
The Ukrainian president noted that Europeans may participate later this week (local time) in the U.S.-Ukraine meeting in Miami. He emphasized that refusing to allow the use of frozen Russian assets undermines dialogue and the diplomatic process.
Zelensky further stated that if a peace agreement is reached, the funds from Russian assets will be fully allocated to reconstruction. If the war continues, these funds will be used to support the military and purchase ammunition. He also noted that Ukraine is exploring the possibility of holding a presidential election with an online voting option.
