Zelensky: We hope for the continuation of American aid’

According to Kyiv Independent, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to US President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election of this country.

In a message on X social network, Zelensky wrote: Ukraine appreciates Biden’s unconditional support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom. This support, along with the non-partisan support and assistance in America, was and is vital for Ukraine. Many decisive decisions have been made in recent years, which will always be remembered, like Biden’s bold actions in response to critical moments.

The message continues: And we respect today’s hard but decisive decision. We always appreciate Biden’s leadership. During the most inflammatory moments of history, he supported our country. He helped us block (Vladimir) Putin’s way of occupying our country, and he continued to support us during this terrible war.

He added: “The current situation in Ukraine and all of Europe is equally challenging, and we deeply hope that the strong and unceasing leadership of the United States will prevent the victory or success of Russia’s aggression.”

Biden has always emphasized the continuation of support for Ukraine. In recent months, he succeeded in approving and allocating a significant budget to Kyiv after months of indecision in the US Congress.

On the other hand, Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the American November elections, has always emphasized the resolution of the war in Ukraine through negotiations and has claimed that if he returns to the White House, he will end this war within 24 hours. He has also announced his opposition to financial and military aid to Kyiv.
