Zelensky’s gratitude to America/Biden promised: military aid will be provided to Kiev quickly

PNN – On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Joe Biden for the approval of Washington’s new aid in his account and said that the American president assured him that military aid will be provided to Kiev quickly.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from “Agence France-Presse”, Zelensky wrote in a message on X social media: After the new bill was passed in the US House of Representatives, I spoke with US President Joe Biden and he assured me that as soon as this bill is passed in the Senate, he will immediately sign it. I appreciate Biden’s unwavering support for Ukraine.

Announcing the telephone conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, the White House said that Biden announced that once the National Security Amendment is approved by the Senate and signed into law, his administration will quickly provide significant security assistance packages to meet Ukraine’s immediate battlefield and air defense needs.

Biden also emphasized that US economic aid will help maintain financial stability, rebuild critical infrastructure after Russian attacks and support reforms as Ukraine moves toward Euro-Atlantic integration.

On Saturday, the American Congress approved the aid bill of 60.8 billion dollars to Ukraine. According to the decision of Congress Majority Leader Mike Johnson, the three sections related to Ukraine, Israel (regime) and Taiwan were voted and approved as separate bills.

American officials privately expressed concern about the deterioration of Ukraine’s defense lines and their weakness and declared that this could cause Russia to advance further.

US Army Chief of Staff Randy George acknowledged Russia’s successes in strengthening the defense industry and advancing on the battlefield over the past two years, despite the heavy pressure of sanctions against Russia, and said that Moscow’s defense capability should not be underestimated.

Western countries have provided hundreds of billions of dollars in aid to Kyiv since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in February 2022. Military aid to Ukraine began in 2022 with artillery ammunition and training, and has now expanded to include tanks, advanced air defense systems, missiles and cluster munitions.

Recently, William Burns, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), warned the members of Congress that if they do not approve the aid package to Ukraine now, Kiev will lose the war by the end of the year (2024).
