Zionist analyst: Despite the resumption of the war, the army has so far failed to achieve its goals.

The Zionist analyst warned in this note that the recent statements by Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, who are trying to minimize the issue of prisoners, are worrying and do not bode well.

He continued in this note, referring to the possibility of an imminent announcement of a new phase of military operations in the Gaza Strip, which is said to be more intense and extensive, and added: When the Israeli army (regime), which is expected to announce the start of a new and more extensive operation in the coming days, we must ask the following questions: why was the previous operation not successful? How is the new operation different from the current one? And why does the army believe that this time it can achieve its goals?

According to IRNA, the Zionist regime’s Channel 12 TV previously announced in a report that the regime’s cabinet and army have decided to significantly expand the military operations in Gaza in the coming days and weeks.

The Israeli media reported that tens of thousands of reservists are to be called up to participate in this new phase of the ground operation. According to reports, the decision was made at a security meeting chaired by Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Army Radio, citing a security source, announced that no decision was made at the meeting on Friday about expanding the ground operation and that the final decision is to be made at the security and political cabinet meeting on Sunday.

However, some sources have indicated that the army will expand the ground operation only by one level and that no decision has been made for a nationwide ground offensive at this time.

On October 7, 2023 (15 Mehr 1402), the Israeli regime launched a war against the Gaza Strip with two main goals: to destroy the Hamas movement and to return the Israeli prisoners from the region, but it failed to achieve these goals and was forced to reach an agreement with the Hamas movement to exchange prisoners.

On January 19, 2025 (30 Di 1403), based on an agreement between Hamas and the Zionist regime, a ceasefire was established in the Gaza Strip, and many prisoners were exchanged. However, the Zionist regime refused to enter into the second phase of the ceasefire negotiations and resumed its military aggression against the Gaza Strip on the morning of Tuesday, March 18, 1403, in violation of the ceasefire provisions.
