Zionist analyst: Netanyahu has no prospects of victory in Gaza.
According to the Shahab news agency, Amos Harel, a military analyst for the Israeli regime, said in a note: “Benjamin Netanyahu has been embarking on a great adventure for two years in the absence of serious domestic opposition and despite widespread skepticism about the benefits of continuing the Gaza war.”
He said: “Netanyahu is pushing Israel towards a deeper war without any prospect of victory, and is seeking to seize power and overcome the current isolation and political defeat. Netanyahu’s current decisions are not based on security or military calculations, but on purely political interests.”
The note states: “Most Israeli security leaders are against a larger military operation in the Gaza Strip, and many Zionists are skeptical about the results of this war, but this skepticism has not turned into practical resistance against Netanyahu, which has given him more room to continue on his path.”
The Zionist military analyst noted: Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, tried to convince Netanyahu to move towards a prisoner exchange agreement instead of expanding the military war, but Zamir’s efforts failed. The army is now engaged in a slow and cautious war of attrition, and it is not a comprehensive one that will quickly achieve results.
He added: Netanyahu has completely ignored the prisoners’ case and has not even mentioned them in recent statements, which proves that the continuation of the war is related to political goals to stay in power, and not a strategic war aimed at achieving real victory.
Meanwhile, on Thursday evening, local time, September 18, 2025, corresponding to September 27, 1404, the United States vetoed a draft resolution by the 10 elected (non-permanent) members of the Security Council led by Denmark, calling for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate release of prisoners.
