Zionist author: Hamas ideology defeated the Merkava tank.
Palestinian news agency Shehab, Zionist writer Eyal Hanania referred to the Qassam Brigades’ attempt to attach Yassin 105 rockets to Israeli tanks, which we witnessed during the Gaza war, and called this action an existential threat to Tel Aviv, stating: “When Hamas forces move towards the Merkava 4 tank, which is like a legendary steel savage, and blow itself and its rocket up without a shred of hesitation, I admit that this ideology defeated the Merkava 4 during this period of war and is considered the greatest threat to Tel Aviv’s existence.”
The Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Aharonot also wrote, referring to the failure of the Israeli regime’s goals in eradicating Hamas: Hamas still has high-ranking commanders in all corners of Gaza who are an essential part of the movement’s reconstruction process.
The Zionist newspaper adds that in the absence of an alternative to Hamas, the movement’s forces still control the Gaza Strip.
The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Aharonot wrote in another article: Recent scenes from Hamas military parades leave no doubt that after 15 months of war, the movement is still an influential force in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, Tel Aviv is still faced with various possible scenarios for the post-war situation in Gaza, each of which will entail specific political and security complications. Hamas’s survival in power remains a possible option, especially since it has thousands of fighters and police forces working to facilitate daily life in the Gaza Strip.
