Zionist commander criticizes political leadership for intimidation and deceit.
The IDF Chief of Staff took a sarcastic stance and said Israel needs a courageous leader who will acknowledge defeat and “not cower or evade.”
The Times of Israel reported that Eyal Zamir’s remarks, interpreted as an implicit criticism of the regime’s Defense Minister, Katz, and Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, came amid a public disagreement with the regime’s Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, over his selective appointments of senior military officers.
Eyal Zamir said Wednesday that Israel needs a “courageous and transformative” leader who will not “evade” responsibility, a statement that appeared to be an implicit criticism of the government.
The remarks came amid a public disagreement with Yisrael Katz over the army’s investigation into the October 7th attacks and appointments at the top of the IDF.
Zamir made the remarks at a ceremony marking the 52nd anniversary of the death of David Ben-Gurion, the founder and first prime minister of the Zionist regime, at the Ben-Gurion Seminary, adjacent to Booker Avenue in the southern occupied territories.
“Today, it is absolutely clear to us… what is needed is a courageous, purposeful, and transformative leadership. A leadership that both recognizes defeat and dares to make a difference,” he said.
“A leadership that does not intimidate or stifle, but rather inspires and uplifts,” he continued. “A leadership that does not evade, but faces the truth and sets a new course.”
“The responsibility of command is reconstruction. This is the essence of leadership,” said the chief of staff of the regime’s army.
