Zionist media acknowledge the Israeli regime’s military support for armed rebel groups in Gaza.
The Ma’ariv newspaper wrote: The Israeli army and security agencies have announced that they are supporting and providing various assistance to armed groups opposing Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Ma’ariv added: These groups are stationed near the “Yellow Line”, the dividing line between the areas under Israeli control and Gaza, some of them are present in the eastern part and others in the western part of this line.
According to the Zionist newspaper, the Israeli army does not allow anyone to approach these gatherings and has opened fire on people who have approached this line for the second time in the past 24 hours.
A senior Israeli military official stated in an interview with Ma’ariv: “We are in constant contact with these groups and support them in various ways.”
According to Ma’ariv, the Israeli regime considers these groups as an alternative to the Hamas government in Gaza and is trying to weaken Hamas’ influence in Gaza by strengthening them.
Meanwhile, security sources in Gaza have announced that the “deterrent” forces affiliated with Hamas security have launched a large-scale operation to identify and arrest individuals accused of collaborating with the Israeli regime.
Yesterday, clashes broke out in eastern Gaza City between Hamas forces and armed rebel groups supported by the Zionist regime, as a result of which several members of the group were killed and a number of Hamas forces were martyred.
Earlier, an armed rebel group supported by the Zionist regime in Gaza, in addition to targeting security forces, attacked a number of Palestinian refugees who were returning from the southern Gaza Strip to Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of them.
The Gaza Interior Ministry issued a statement emphasizing that the security services in the region are determined to establish public order and security and will deal legally with all elements disrupting security and individuals involved in recent incidents.
