Zionist media: Cultural and academic sanctions against Israel continue.
According to the Emirates 24 news website, the Israeli regime did not allow a special Canadian delegation consisting of six members of the country’s parliament to enter the West Bank.
The Israeli embassy in Canada announced that the Canadian delegation was prevented from entering the West Bank due to its connection to the non-governmental organization “World Islamic Relief, which Israel considers a terrorist organization.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand wrote on her social media account that Canada had protested the inappropriate behavior of the delegation.
Canadian MP Iqra Khalid told Prime Minister Mark Carney that she was a member of the delegation and that Israeli agents pushed her several times at the border with the occupied Palestinian territories.
She added that she was interrogated by Zionist agents at the Al-Nabi crossing on the borders of Jordan and the occupied territories.
The Canadian MP recalled that Israeli officials knew he was a member of parliament because they had seen his special passport.
This comes after Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich previously presented his plan to legalize 19 new settlements in the West Bank to cabinet members, and they approved the plan.
Channel 12 of the Israeli regime reported that some of the settlements that were approved are completely new, while others are settlements that will be subject to Israeli regulations and laws for legal organization.
After the Israeli regime occupied the West Bank and Jerusalem in 1967, the regime has built hundreds of Zionist settlements in these areas.
The United Nations has repeatedly condemned the Zionist regime’s settlement plans in the occupied Palestinian territories and considered them illegal, but the regime continues to violate UN resolutions and not only has not stopped settlement construction in the occupied territories, but has also intensified the development of settlement construction.
