Zionist media: Netanyahu will decide on dissolving the Knesset after meeting with Trump.

The Israeli TV channel 12 reported today that amid intensifying internal disputes over the draft law, Netanyahu will meet with Trump on Monday at Mar-a-Lago, the US president’s residence in Florida.

The meeting, which will cover several topics including Iran, Hezbollah, Syria, and the second phase of the ceasefire in Gaza, will have a direct impact on the political future of the regime, according to Israeli media analysis.

Informed sources have emphasized that after returning from the US, Netanyahu will make his decision on dissolving the Knesset (Israeli parliament) and setting the date for the next elections; a decision that, according to analysts, depends on the possible achievements of this trip and Trump’s responses to the issues under discussion.

The issue of Netanyahu’s pardon in the Tel Aviv court may also be raised again, and Trump may put pressure on Israeli President Isaac Herzog to advance this process.

This news comes as the conscription crisis, especially regarding the inclusion of Haredim in the Israeli army, has become one of Netanyahu’s biggest political challenges. The draft proposal by Boaz Bismuth, the head of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, regarding the recruitment of Haredim for military service, has faced serious opposition from religious parties, and they are scheduled to vote against it and possibly leave the coalition on Sunday.

This comes as Netanyahu has been trying to advance a law that would simultaneously satisfy Haredim and secular parties while preserving the cabinet coalition, but he has so far failed. This inability has not only deepened political divisions but also increased the likelihood of the cabinet coalition collapsing.

In fact, the conscription law has reached a point where any compromise seems difficult. Haredi parties are demanding full exemption from military service for Haredi men, while opposition parties and the Israeli public view the concession as discriminatory and unacceptable.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu, who had previously promised to present a balanced solution, is now facing increased pressure from religious allies and the opposition. The crisis has not only questioned his ability to lead a cabinet but has also shortened Israel’s political timeline and increased the likelihood of early elections. Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump could be a defining moment in Israel’s political future.
