Zionist media reports Hamas disarmament deadline set in two months.
According to Al Jazeera, the Israel Hayom newspaper, citing these sources, announced: In a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, it was agreed to form joint teams to determine the criteria for what Hamas disarmament would practically mean.
Last night, in his fifth meeting with Netanyahu in the past year, which took place at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump claimed in a joint press conference that Hamas would be given a “very short time” to disarm and that if it does not adhere to its commitments, the group would be “destroyed” in the second phase of its peace plan.
Meanwhile, Haitham Abu Ghazal, a senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, made statements on January 25 of this year stating that no force can come to the Gaza Strip to disarm the resistance, and emphasized: Disarmament of the resistance will not happen.
Abu Ghazal said: The resistance has a clear view about the impossibility of disarming itself, and the Americans understand this.
He emphasized: “No one can ignore the presence of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, and the resistance attaches importance to the success of the agreement.”
Osama Hamdan, a senior member of the Hamas movement, also previously emphasized his firm opposition to any foreign guardianship and stated: “We do not accept the disarmament of the resistance and we will not allow any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Palestine.”
Referring to developments related to the Gaza agreement, he said that the Zionist regime not only does not adhere to the provisions of the agreement but also violates its international agreements and commitments on a large scale.
Stating that entering the second phase of the agreement requires providing clearer guarantees and more precise commitments, Hamdan emphasized that the Palestinian resistance completely rejects any foreign guardianship, disarmament, and interference in the internal affairs of Palestine.
He added: “We do not need the presence of foreign forces to disarm; a weapon that the occupying regime has failed to take from us during two years of war and genocide.”
