Zionist media reports Netanyahu-Trump talks to focus on Türkiye.
Tamir Morag, a political correspondent for Israel’s Channel 14 television, reported last night (Tuesday) that Tel Aviv’s firm opposition to Turkey’s presence in the international force to stabilize Gaza, as well as the issue of the sale of US F-35 fighter jets to Ankara, will be raised as one of the main topics of the upcoming talks between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump at the end of this month in Florida. The meeting is being seen as an important test to gauge Israel’s red lines in its interaction with the Washington administration.
A senior Israeli political source has emphasized to Channel 14 that Tel Aviv rules out Turkey’s presence in the international force in Gaza, whether in a military or civilian capacity.
Despite this opposition, reports indicate that US officials are trying to find a way for Ankara to participate symbolically or indirectly behind the scenes; Including the limited deployment of Turkish forces, a civilian presence, or an agreement under which Turkey expels some senior Hamas officials and Palestinian activists residing in the country.
Meanwhile, US Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Mark Rubio have announced that Washington does not intend to impose Turkey’s presence in the international force on Israel.
According to Morag, Tel Aviv’s pressure in this regard even caused Turkey to not attend the recent US Central Command (CENTCOM) conference in Qatar, which was held with the participation of more than 35 countries.
Zionist sources have emphasized that, in addition to the Turkey issue, other important issues, including advancing the Gaza agreement and determining its implementation framework, disarming Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon as Tel Aviv’s security priority, and insisting on greater US pressure on Iran in the political and security areas, are also on the agenda of the Netanyahu-Trump meeting.
Some experts believe that, ahead of Netanyahu’s visit to the United States, the Israeli regime is preparing a dossier that compiles a series of security claims about Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah to pressure the White House to take action against the axis of resistance during a meeting with the US President.
