Zionist media: The special relationship between the US and the Zionist regime is in danger.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, Abraham Ben-Tsfi, a professor of political science at the University of Haifa and an expert on Israeli-American relations, wrote in the newspaper Yisrael Hayom: “Six decades of deep, strategic and diplomatic partnership between the United States and Israel, which was based on shared values and was called the “special relationship,” has now reached a critical stage that could jeopardize the future of this alliance.”

He wrote: “Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are rapidly moving toward a direct confrontation on sensitive regional and global issues.”

According to the author, a quick end to the war in the Gaza Strip is a key element for Trump in building his legacy as a decisive leader who relentlessly strives to resolve major crises or at least contain them. Trump is trying to present himself as a skilled mediator, and the Gaza war is considered a key part of his efforts to redesign the Middle East under American domination.

Ben Tsefsi added: Achieving this goal depends on reciprocal agreements between Washington and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, where the United States is trying to improve their military position in the region by providing these countries with advanced weapons in exchange for huge investments in their economies.

The analysis states: The White House’s ultimate goal of this approach is to create a broad diplomatic and strategic coalition with American support to confront existing threats and regional and global challenges to the new order in the region.

Ben Tsefsi warned: The special relationship between the United States and the Zionist regime is now under unprecedented pressure, as the left wing of the Democratic Party is considered a serious threat to this relationship, while the isolationist wing of the Republican Party is also showing signs of increasing reluctance.

He added: This situation has caused growing frustration, anger and discouragement towards Netanyahu inside the White House, and this dissatisfaction is now openly expressed.

The Israeli author said: Trump and his representative for Middle East affairs, Steve Witkoff, are confused in understanding the strategic logic of the continued presence of the Zionist regime in the Gaza quagmire, because this war is meaningless and aimless in their eyes.

Ben-Tsfi pointed to recent events in the region that could further strain US-Israeli relations, including the release of Aidan Alexander, a dual Israeli-American prisoner who was released by Hamas after direct negotiations with the US.

He concluded by predicting that Hamas’ political role in governing Gaza after the war may be accepted shortly, even if symbolically. It is also possible that a nuclear agreement with Iran without consulting the Zionist regime and supporting Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear program without obtaining the regime’s consent could be part of future developments.
