Zionist Minister: The only aid that should be given to Gaza is voluntary immigration.
According to Rossiya El-Youm, Itamar Ben-Governor added in a press conference: “As long as we have hostages (prisoners) in the tunnels, I don’t understand this discussion at all.”
The extremist minister in Netanyahu’s cabinet continued: “As long as our hostages (prisoners) are not released, the enemy should not receive food, electricity, or any other aid.”
The Hebrew newspaper Yisrael Hayom reported in recent days that a new plan to expand the war in Gaza is designed to defeat Hamas and return the prisoners, and includes moving the residents of the area to the south of the strip, occupying parts of its lands, and remaining in those areas.
The newspaper also wrote, citing a Zionist source: “The plan has been approved by the right-wing forces of Israel, and they have welcomed the decision to escalate the war.”
The right-wing supporters of the plan said: We support ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Orit Strok, who raised their clear and decisive voices in the cabinet and opposed the arrival of aid to Gaza.
According to this group of Zionists, the arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip means prolonging the war, killing more Israeli soldiers, and weakening the chances of rescuing the hostages.
In contrast, the Association of Families of Zionist Hostages in the Gaza Strip criticized the new plan and declared that it should be called the “Smotrich-Netanyahu Plan” because it ignores the prisoners and the security resistance.
The association added: “By doing this, the cabinet admits that it prefers the occupation of the lands to the release of the prisoners, and this is against the wishes of more than 70 percent of Israelis, and future generations will not forget our cry.”
On the other hand, a Zionist political source told the newspaper “Yisrael Hayom” that Benjamin Netanyahu stated during the cabinet vote that this plan could achieve the two goals of defeating Hamas and returning the hostages.
Netanyahu added: “This plan is different from previous plans. Because we are changing our method from “attacks” to “occupying lands and remaining there.”
According to this source, Netanyahu defended Trump’s plan to allow the voluntary departure of Gaza residents and said: “Negotiations on this issue are underway with several countries.”
According to a source who disclosed the content of the cabinet discussions, “Eyal Zamir,” the chief of staff of the Israeli army, stated during the review of the plan to expand the attack on the Gaza Strip in the cabinet of the regime: “We are on the path to defeating Hamas and this will help return the prisoners.”
