Zionist newspaper: Gaza has become another Vietnam.

In a report, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper listed the increasing slogans and mistakes of Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, noting that “disarming Hamas” or “preventing its sovereignty” can only be achieved if the Gaza Strip is completely occupied.

The Zionist media outlet added that Netanyahu has rejected the Palestinian Authority’s rule over Gaza and does not even reject the military occupation of the region.

Yedioth Ahronoth added: Another mistake of Netanyahu’s cabinet is that Israel’s repeated operations in previously cleared areas of Gaza are due to the failure to completely destroy Hamas’ infrastructure, including tunnels, underground networks and battalions.

But the media outlet considered the “reality” to be “completely different” and added that the cost of this work is high; 38 Israeli army soldiers have been killed in Gaza since March (Esfahan 1403), which is an average of about 10 people per month.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the casualties have increased since June 1, indicating that Hamas’ ability to harm soldiers remains intact.

The outlet added that five IDF soldiers were killed in Beit Hanoun, an area that was theoretically under military control but practically undefended. With current forces, the IDF cannot be everywhere.

The newspaper continued that “staying” in Gaza requires guerrilla tactics, as fighters probe the occupation force, exploit weak spots and dig deeper tunnels.
