Zionist opposition: Netanyahu is a danger to Israel and must step down

PNN – As criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu escalated, the regime’s opposition movement called for his removal.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, following the disclosure of a letter from Ronen Bar, head of the Israel Security Agency (Shabak), to the Supreme Court of Justice, the Israeli opposition movement considered Netanyahu a threat to the regime’s security.

Yair Lapid, the leader of the Israeli opposition, said: The Shin Bet chief’s words prove that Netanyahu is a threat to Israel’s security and it is impossible for him to remain as prime minister.

He added: Netanyahu tried to use the Shin Bet to monitor Israeli citizens and destroy democracy.

In this regard, Yair Golan, head of the opposition Zionist Democratic Party, said: Netanyahu is a direct threat to Israel’s security and the rule of law and must be removed immediately.

Following the increasing pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the head of the regime’s internal security agency (Shabak) and after numerous rumors surrounding his dismissal, Ronen Bar presented his written defense to the Supreme Court regarding his dismissal from the position of Shin Bet director and revealed important issues regarding Netanyahu.

The Israeli Channel 7 reported that Ronen Bar referred to the “Qatargate” incident in the letter and stated that the investigations and studies into the Qatargate incident have created many ambiguities regarding the damage to Israel’s security, serious damage to the negotiations for the release of prisoners, strengthening Hamas, and damage to the relations between the regime and the Egyptian government.

The Shin Bet chief also wrote in the letter: Netanyahu has repeatedly asked him to take action against protesters and his opponents, contrary to Shin Bet rules.

Ron Bar added: While expecting the Shin Bet to take serious action against the protesters, Netanyahu sought to obtain the identities of the protesting activists as well as the financiers of these protests; those who pursued security objectives.
