PNN – In an interview with Gali Israel Radio on Monday, Finance Minister Betzel Smotrich said regarding negotiations with Hamas for the release of Israeli prisoners: We must tell the truth; the release of prisoners is not the main goal of the cabinet.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Eyal Naveh, a political and social activist opposed to the Netanyahu government, wrote in response to Smotrich’s controversial remarks, stating that releasing prisoners is not the main goal of the cabinet:
There is no place in Israeli society and the people for people who think like Smotrich. Israeli voters have rejected him like vomit in all the polls, and the day is not far off when he will be ashamed to appear in public.
In an interview with the regime’s “Gali Israel” radio, Smotrich, the Israeli Finance Minister, announced that the truth must be told and that the release of prisoners is not the main goal of Netanyahu’s cabinet. These statements provoked a strong reaction against Netanyahu from the families of the prisoners. Previously, residents of occupied Palestine had gathered in front of Smotrich’s vehicle to prevent him from reaching the Knesset building.
