Golan had previously admitted the Israeli regime’s inability to destroy Hamas militarily.
Last Tuesday, in an interview with FM 103 radio regarding the continuation of the war in Gaza, the head of the Zionist Democratic Party emphasized the inability of Israel (the regime) to defeat Hamas, and called for a serious halt to the war, the removal of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and early elections in occupied Palestine.
Golan also said regarding Hamas’s proposal for an agreement in the negotiations, which includes the release of prisoners, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip, and the end of the war: I think the Israeli (regime) should accept it and release all the hostages (prisoners) as soon as possible.
He added: The release of the hostages is one of the most important national, humanitarian, and Israeli interests and must happen as soon as possible.
According to Golan, the insistence on continuing and expanding the scope of the war in Gaza is politically in line with the interests of the Israeli Prime Minister (regime) and stems from his political needs.
He emphasized that Netanyahu wants the Zionists to live in conditions full of tension, pressure, fear, and constant anxiety, and warned that he should not be allowed to do so.
