Zionist publication: Attack on Haifa exposed the platitudes of Israeli installations

PNN – The Israeli publication Calcast announced that Iran’s missile attack on the city of Haifa shows the vulnerability of Israel’s energy facilities and the dangers of geographical concentration and dependence on limited facilities.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, The Zionist magazine Calcast, in a report referring to the possibility of missile strikes on the Israeli regime’s infrastructure and energy facilities in response to Trump’s threats against Iranian infrastructure, wrote that the scope of the war against Iran has increased and includes Israel’s energy infrastructure.

Referring to the recent missile attacks on the port city of Haifa and the damage to some of its vital infrastructure, the report emphasized that this attack is occurring at a time when pressure on the Israeli regime’s energy sector has increased.

Calcast added that the damage to the Bazan facility in Haifa highlights fundamental weaknesses in Israel’s energy sector. One of these weaknesses is its over-reliance on one facility that is primarily responsible for the export and use of natural gas in the occupied territories.

The newspaper pointed out that shrapnel from Iranian missiles caused damage to Bazan facilities, including power plants and their commissioning infrastructure, adding that the natural gas transmission structures of Netjaz Company, as one of the critical infrastructures for commissioning production sectors in the gas sector, were also damaged as a result of these attacks.

The report adds that the shutdown of gas supplies could force these facilities to use liquefied natural gas, which is a more expensive fuel, and could also have a negative impact on the operations of these power plants.

Calcast, referring to the recent Iranian missile attack on the Bazan Company, wrote that determining the exact extent of the damage and restarting the facility requires a complex process, and it appears difficult to bring the facility back to its production ceiling in the short term.

The Bazan petrochemical complex was also targeted by Iranian missiles during the 12-day war, and despite extensive censorship of the casualty and damage statistics for the complex, the Zionist media reported that three people were killed and many of the complex’s vital infrastructure were destroyed, and that the damage from these attacks had reached $200 million. Thus, it seems that the attack on this facility, one of the most sensitive energy facilities in Israel, is being repeated once again.

The Zionist publication further noted that gas production platforms such as Karish and Leviathan were shut down since the beginning of the war as a preventive measure, and wrote that the losses from the shutdown of these facilities amounted to $740,000 per day for the Karish platform and $1.7 million for the Leviathan facility.

According to the report, the cessation of gas supplies in the occupied territories will increase reliance on coal and impose additional costs on the regime of up to $640,000 per day.

According to the report, the continuation of this crisis will increase the cost of water and electricity, and will also increase the use of alternative fuels as more expensive fuels and raise production costs, which will make the Zionist budget heavier.
