PNN – In an official meeting in the Knesset (Zionist parliament), it was acknowledged that Iran produces many times more academic experts than Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Ma’ariv newspaper announced in a report this Tuesday evening that experts emphasize that Iran has four times as many engineering graduates as Israel.
The report, which was read in the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) Higher Education Subcommittee, emphasized that Iran has four times as many graduate engineers annually as Israel, while Israel is also struggling with reverse migration of specialists.
Ma’ariv continued: The Knesset Higher Education Subcommittee held its first discussion session. The session addressed adapting university curricula to the changing labor market, the challenges facing the higher education system, and preparing for its future.
During this meeting, it was revealed that Iran is training scientists at a rate four times higher than Israel.
During the discussion, data on student enrollment in the education system was presented. In the current academic year, 336,346 students are enrolled in 57 academic institutions, half in colleges and half in universities.
Amy Moyal, Chair of the Planning and Budget Committee, stated: We have a responsibility to educate scientists and engineers. There has been an almost 18 percent increase in the number of students enrolled in engineering and more than a quarter in STEM fields.
Naama Nemzi, a member of the Knesset, however, addressed the reverse migration from (occupied Palestine) and announced: 2023 will see a significant exodus of doctors and academics, indicating a stark difference between the number of those emigrating and those returning.
Resident doctors have decided to emigrate in search of better working conditions. Furthermore, 949 doctors have emigrated so far, three-quarters of whom are under 40 years old. In my opinion, this migration will also spread to other professions that are considered undesirable. This also applies to the Israeli academic community.
