Zionist trade unions are considering extending the strike

PNN – The Union of Labor Unions of the Israeli regime intends to extend the general strike that started today (Monday) until tomorrow and expand it to larger sectors as well.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by the Palestinian news agency “Maa”, after the Israeli army announced that the bodies of 6 Zionist prisoners were found in Gaza, a general strike was held in the occupied Palestinian territories in solidarity with the families of the Zionist prisoners and in opposition to the stoning of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach an agreement with Hamas over the exchange of prisoners.

The media of the Zionist regime reported that a general strike in the occupied Palestinian territories will bring dire consequences and cause great economic damage to the Israeli regime.

Arnon Bar-David, the head of the Union of Labor Unions of the Zionist regime, said: Round-trip flights will be stopped at the Ben-Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, this strike will cover the entire Israeli economy.

On the other hand, Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition of the Zionist cabinet, has asked the families of the Zionist prisoners to participate in the general strike in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Netanyahu: The strikers are supporters of “Sanwar”.

Yanio Livy, the head of the media department of the Zionist Workers’ Union, told the Zionist regime’s radio today: It is possible that the strike will continue tomorrow (Tuesday) and maybe other sectors of the Zionist regime will participate in it.

The strikes began following widespread night demonstrations in Tel Aviv and other cities, which are considered the largest protests since the start of the Gaza war.

Public anger against Netanyahu intensified on Sunday after the Israeli regime announced that its forces had discovered the bodies of six prisoners.

The Histadrut, the largest labor union in the occupied territories, called for strikes yesterday and pressured Netanyahu’s cabinet to return 101 people who are still in captivity.

Arnon Bar-David, head of this union, said: Netanyahu is thwarting any possible agreement in order to avoid any blow to his governing coalition.

The announcement of the death of the prisoners has led to widespread condemnation of Netanyahu for failing to reach an agreement with Hamas. The intelligence officials of the Israeli regime believe that at least 35 other prisoners were also killed.

The United States, Qatar and Egypt are trying to reach an agreement between the two sides involved in Gaza and help free the Zionist prisoners.

Simultaneously with the call for nationwide strikes in the occupied territories, the finance minister of the Zionist regime warned on Sunday that those who participate in the strikes will be deprived of their salaries.
