Zionists admit to their inhumane crimes against Palestinian infants.
This is a report that the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz announced in its Friday issue; Israel has made the entry of infant formula conditional on its purchase through it, and therefore has not allowed humanitarian aid to enter, and this aid has remained completely behind the borders of Gaza.
This issue is also confirmed and announced by UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), which is why the number of infants suffering from malnutrition has multiplied since March.
This week, a 7-month-old baby named Salem was brought to the UNRWA clinic in Hay al-Rimal, Gaza. It was immediately apparent that he was suffering from severe malnutrition. His bones and skull were completely protruding from the skin, and his arm circumference was only 3.8 cm. This is while an arm circumference of less than 12.5 cm is classified as malnutrition, and severe malnutrition is defined as 11.5 cm or less.
Doctors rushed to save him, but he died just days later.
Salem is one of at least 57 babies who have died of malnutrition since March, according to the UN.
According to monitoring by UNRWA staff, the average number of babies and children suffering from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has risen from 2.5 percent during the previous ceasefire to 10.7 percent in recent days.
“I am concerned that we will see a much sharper increase,” said Akahiro Seiata, UNRWA’s medical director.
Haaretz further admitted that it has been more than two months since Israel last allowed food and humanitarian aid to pass through the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip is now facing a hunger problem, especially among young children, which is increasing every day.
The Gaza Strip is now facing a severe shortage of infant formula (IBM) and nutritional supplements for children, pregnant and lactating women.
